I couldn’t believe my eyes this morning when I woke up...sun, is that you? Finally a bright start to the day & thinking ahead to the weekend, I’ve heard there is 0% chance of rain. For some, that means day drinking in the sun so I wanted to make it easy on you to decide where to go. Here are some of the coolest places to drink outside this season:

  • PHS Pop Up on South Street: If you’ve never been, this is a great place to hang with co-workers after a long day in the office, or a place to pack up the kids and grab a drink. It’s family - and pet - friendly with both food & drink options it’s easy to find something for everyone

  • Morgan’s Pier: It’s like escaping to the shore for a cold one. At Morgan’s Pier you can watch the boats come in and out while enjoying a live band plus dive into classic Philly fares at this Delaware Riverfront location.

  • Independence Beer Garden: This is popular with the 9-5er’s in Old City. Located below a business building you may get caught sneaking out for lunch, so we suggest waiting until 5pm to pull up a spot overlooking the Liberty Bell, or head to the back to play larger than life garden games!

  • Parks on Tap: If you follow us on Facebook, you already know we’re really into taking the tour around Philly this summer! Join us next Wednesday from 5-7pm for a Fresh Places Happy Hour at FDR Park! More details here.

  • Uptown Beer Garden: This one just opened its doors (fences) with it being tucked perfectly into the hustle and bustle of the business district in Philly, this is ever popular with the young professionals just entering corporate world but still looking to dabble in a daily happy hour. If you’re one who likes to avoid crowds of younger drinkers, this is not one for you on Wednesday afternoons in the summer. Once CCD Sips begins, this gets pretty busy and rowdy on some occasions.

  • Rodin Museum Garden Bar: Are we sipping our wine in a lovely French garden, or are we still in Philly? This is what you’ll be asking yourself at the Rodin Garden Bar. Beginning this Saturday you can begin to visit this beautiful garden and visitors are offered a pay-what-you-wish admission to the museum.

  • The Deck on the Moshulu: See skyline views & riverviews from the deck of this boat turned restaurant on the Delaware River. Last season you could snag a wine/popsicle drink...here’s to hoping this is on the menu again this year!

The list is endless, there are many more missing from the list but this will certainly get you started & keep you around town! Plus, if you find one you can’t live without...we can find you the perfect home in the area, just let us know!
