We've been waiting for warm weather since the start of the New Year and now it's finally here...but are you ready to host?  It's the season of entertaining guests on your decks, patios, yards, or even with the windows wide open and the fresh breeze streaming in.  Here are our tips on preparing your home to host warm weather get together's this season:

  • Have a Deck or Patio? First start by cleaning off the ground surface itself - if possible, just a quick sweep & scrub will do it. If winter was rough to your deck, we suggest renting or borrowing a power washer and get that deep clean done and out of the way early on.

  • Take inventory of your furniture. Is your space welcoming and accommodating to the amount of people you're hosting? No - well luckily MANY retailers offer sales this time of year. Target is currently running an outdoor sale from place settings to conversational sets and everything in between. Check out their great deals here.

  • Have the seating but it's looking outdated or weathered? Add in a fresh new feel by changing out pillows, adding in outdoor plants or even a simple tablecloth to cover last season's use!

  • Lastly, add in some relaxing elements to allow for daytime BBQ's to transition to warm summer evening gatherings such as: string lights, firepits or soft summer blankets to cozy up with on chillier evenings.

We hope you've been enjoying the weather as much as we have...and if you're in need of some outdoor space this summer - reach out! We'd love to help you find a home that fits your needs all year long!
