Fresh Take On Social Distancing For Sports Fans
Being a sports fan at this time is tough...it seems like every night there was at least one game on - even if you didn’t care for the team...you’d watch! March Madness has taken on an entirely different meaning and so what are we sports fans left with?
Reliving the Glory Days: Let’s see...Super Bowl 52 maybe? Why not re-watch it (as I’m sure you already have at least a few times!) Or what other moments in Philadelphia sports history were just too good to only watch once…
Go back far enough that you don’t remember the outcome of a game & re-watch. It will feel like you’re watching a new game (although nearly every player has since been traded...or retired!)
Sports Movies: This is the next best thing...right? Sure, there are some fictional points in each movie, but you’ve got the sports mixed with the drama...your self-quarantine partner will be happy! Suggestions: Rudy, Creed, Rocky (of course...and all the others too!), Miracle, Concussion, The Blind Side, Million Dollar Baby & Hoop Dreams. Of course there are so many others but here’s a good start for now...right?
Get Outside: While groups aren’t allowed right now, you can workout and brush up on some of your skills outside of your house. Be mindful of the equipment you use - if it is public - be sure to wipe it down before AND after use to help with the spread! Be smart, be safe & keep healthy!
