Fresh Ideas for Your Weekend Ahead: 


  • Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens (Now through March 22nd) Longwood Gardens has many opportunities to visit the extravaganza however this Saturday there is a special program that invites kids and families to discover where orchids grow in nature. Bring your little ones along to design an “orchid world” on a giant felt board and so much more! 

  • Pi Day at the Franklin Institute (Saturday March 14th) From 10-2pm the Franklin Institute is getting in on the fun with hands-on activities that explore how scientists use the mathematical constant. 

  • Celebrate the Green at Peddler’s Village: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Irish fare at Village restaurants like Peddler’s Pub and Buttonwood Grill, a family-fun scavenger hunt for leprechaun gold (Saturday and Sunday), the 3rd Annual Shamrock Shuffle (Sunday), shop specials and more. 


  • Flyers: The Minnesota Wild is in town this Saturday at 1pm and the Fly guys are looking to keep their playoff dreams alive. There are just a few tickets left under $100 so snag them while you can and cheer our Flyers on! 

  • Union Home Opener: Can you believe another Philly soccer season starts this Saturday at 7:30pm in Chester? And what’s better than one home game...two! Purchase tickets for the 3/14 game and you get tickets for the following weekend’s game vs. D.C. United. 


  • KOP Restaurant Week: Not only do you get delicious food for a great also give back while doing so! Restaurants participating in restaurant week will donate a minimum of 2.5% of their proceeds from KOP Restaurant Week to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In five years, this campaign has raised $112,500 for CHOP! Eat for the kiddos! 

  • Let them Eat Cake at the Lowes: This event attracts confectionery talent from throughout the Philadelphia area to partake in one of the biggest cake-off fundraisers in the country. Proceeds going to the Variety the Children's Charity of the Delaware Valley; an organization working directly and solely to better the lives of underprivileged children. This event is taking place this Sunday at the Lowes Hotel in Center City. For $40 in advance and $50 at the door attendees can try as many as 40 different cakes as well as unlimited spirits & wine...Sunday Funday with a cause!
