Free Events On The Waterfront
It’s no secret that the Delaware Waterfront has really become an attraction for Philly natives & tourists alike over the past few years due to the parks which have opened, but also the free events hosted there each week over the warmer months:
Free Yoga at Race Street Pier: Free classes are offered daily Monday through Thursday at both 7am and 6pm and 7am on Fridays. On the weekend we get to sleep in a bit with classes starting at 9:30am each day. There are a few opportunities for twilight yoga throughout the season plus summer holidays run on a different schedule, check out full details here.
Sundays with PopUp Play: Start your Sunday Funday early with PopUp Play at the Spruce Street Harbor Park from 11:30-12:30. During this time each Sunday there’s great kids programs that the entire family will love. Check out the schedule here so we can plan ahead!
Salsa at Spruce: Only a few opportunities to shake it at the waterfront (well in a class format that is) and one’s happening this Friday night. Free salsa classes are offered from 7-11pm this Friday and then not again until September, so get out and spin, shake & salsa!
Indoor Antique & Vintage Market: More than 75+ vendors will pack into Cherry Street Pier (if you haven’t been, here’s the perfect opportunity to go!) on select Saturday’s this season. From antique furniture, to jewelry and more; bring your family & fur-family and check it out this Saturday!
Unifestival: Kick off Memorial Day on the water at the Unifestival on Friday May 24th through Sunday May 26th and capping off the weekend with a firework show. Full details here.
There are more events, both free & ticketed, so if you’re interested in spending some time on the Delaware Riverfront this summer, check out their website - there is ALWAYS something happening!
